Venturi Automobiles has works with Michelin to build the Venturi Volage. The Volage is another electric car from Venturi after the Fetish roadster that was unveiled at the Top Marques Monaco last April. All the 4 wheels and the active suspension of the Volage is equipped with Michelin Active Wheel technology which incorporates 2 electric motors per wheel, 1 for the suspension and 1 for the drive. All the components motors, gear reduction units and suspensions, are miniaturized and built into the wheels.
Meanwhile, the active electric shock absorbers allow the car to adapt to the type of road surface and driving. Inside, the car features a dashboard touch screen where the driver could configure the preference settings such as comfort rather than speed. By using the carbon fiber for the car bodywork, Venturi Design Office able to reduce the weight of the Volage to 1,075 kg. The weight distribution of the car’s masses is 45 % at the front and 55 % at the rear. The car capable to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in less than 5 seconds.
