Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has announced that the company has donated a police version of the Gallardo LP560-4 to the Italian State Police.
This new car will replace the previous Gallardo that was in use by the Italian police force since 2004 which is capable to deliver 560 hp and the top speed of 203 mph.
For the interior, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia is equipped with a high-tech video system at the center of the cabin, camera fitted next to the rear view mirror and a computer and recording equipment behind the seats. The Galalrdo Polizia is also equipped with “classic” array of police equipment such as a gun holster, police radio equipment and the “Paletta,” the traditional hand-held stop sign used to advise motorists and traffic offenders to pull over.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia can also be used as an urgent medical transportation with its luggage compartment in the front is equipped with a specialized refrigeration system for safe transportation of donor organs and also a defibrillator.
However for the exterior, the Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia comes with “blu Polizia” body paint with white stripes and lettering, aerodynamically optimized police beacon on the roof, blue LED signals on the front, sides and rear of the light’s aluminium shell. Four sirens are intergrated at the front and the rear of the car.
