It appears that current F1 world champion Fernando Alonso has decided to leave Renault, and has signed for the McLaren team from 2007.

This will be a shock for Kimi and Juan Pablo, as it means that one of them will be out of a job in 2007. They have been told that in the 2006 season they will be racing for their jobs, so no holds barred. 2006 is going to be a very interesting season with the new V8 engines and the Finn Vs The Columbian, not to mention Jaques with something to prove at BMW.

I am guessing that because both Juan Pablo and Kimi are still hot F1 property, that one of the two of them will probably go to Ferrari of 07 to replace former world champion Michael Schumacher?

Time will tell.
