Ford denies Volvo sale supposed to BMW A few days ago, the Swedish newspaper Göteborgs Posten said that sources within Ford have confirmed that BMW is exploring the possibility of buying Volvo. Another source would have said that even BMW and Ford are already holding informal talks on this, but Ford went on to deny any official conversation with the German manufacturer, saying that "Ford Motor Company is in discussions with BMW or any other company respect to any interest in Volvo Car Corporation. "

Merrill Lynch has said Ford could get BMW 8000 million dollars from the sale of the Volvo brand, one of the major brands of the Premiere Automotive Group, which will help Ford out of its economic problems.

The CEO of Volvo Cars, Fredrik Arp told Reuters in March that Ford was committed to preserving the Swedish automotive.

Could it be that Volvo Chrysler brand needs to take off? Is Chrysler would benefit from the security image of Volvo?
