Chrysler Firepower V8 engine The extreme rear of the sport concept car

The Chrysler Firepower is an attractive and powerful concept, reaching 60 miles an hour in less than 4.5 seconds and continuing on to 175mph.
The Chrysler Firepower is based on a Dodge Viper chassis, and it's not impossible to see a resemblance. Muscular rear arches, wide low and flat bonnet and a cockpit pushed to the extreme rear of the car.
The rear view, especially the taillights and boot lid, have a distinct Aston Martin vibe. This similarity is not by accident, both cars are intended as luxury tourers designed to compete in the same market. Although the Firepower would probably be termed 'the poor mans Aston Martin.

Chrysler decided to continue the Viper program

The Chrysler Group announced that the Viper program is no longer for sale and that it will be continued to be produced past the end of the year at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant. There was no mention as to why the decision was made or what will happen beyond 2010, but for now, the Viper is safe. The official press release doesn't offer much information, but you check it out after the jump, along with a video from Chrysler discussing the decision and giving brief history of the Viper.

Powered by an 8.4-liter V10 with 600HP that launches the sports car from standstill to 60 mph in under 4,0 seconds, the 2009MY Viper is offered in both coupe and convertible configurations with prices in the U.S. starting from $91,220.

The Crossfire is Chrysler’s two-seat sports coupe and roadster that is produced in Germany in conjunction with longtime DaimlerChrysler partner Karmann. The Crossfire is one of the vehicle that has earned the Chrysler Group a reputation for taking concept cars and turning them into production vehicles with very little of the original concept lost in the process

Occupants sit low in the car, which has a bright, upscale, retro-style sporty interior. The bucket seats are very supportive, gauges can be quickly read and controls work precisely. The cockpit is roomy despite an oversized center console that holds an awkwardly designed cupholder. Curiously, it's the only cupholder in the car.

Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser Series 5

Recently, Chrysler’s has announced their all-new limited production model which is a factory-customized PT Cruiser. The price for PT Dream Cruiser Series 5 will be available this fall with prices starting from $22,700. Production will be limited to 1,750 units for the U.S. market.

The special thing for the Chrysler is the contrasting two-tone theme with a Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl painted roof and hoop spoiler, the Dream Cruiser Series 5 also gets cross-hatched, solid billet aluminum grilles, 17-inch SRT alloys, chromed body-side trim moldings and new badges.

For the interior part, there’s also new seat fabrics, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with bright silver accents, satin-silver finished gauge cluster with chromed rings and premium floor mats and door-entry sill plates add a final touch to this special-edition Chrysler PT Cruiser.

There are two powertrains for the Dream Cruiser Series 5 which are a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 150 HP and a 180 HP turbo-charged 2.4-liter unit.
